About the Smilen Elite 55
The Smilen Elite 55 is a square-shaped frame made from acetate with a full rim design. This unisex frame works for anyone who prefers structured, angular eyewear.
The measurements are 54-22-150: a 54mm lens width (regular fit), 22mm bridge (wide for this lens width), and 150mm temples (long). The regular lens width suits most faces, while the wide bridge sits farther from your nose than typical glasses with 54mm lenses, and the long temples extend farther back than standard length.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Is the 55 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What colors does the 55 come in?
It is offered in 3 colors; the product page shows which are available now.
Prescription lens options for the Smilen Elite 55
OmniLux® NAL®
– next-gen no-line multifocal lenses, exclusive to BestNewGlasses.com.
Single vision
– one prescription across the whole lens, for distance or reading.
Progressive
– a smooth change from distance to reading with no visible line.
iLux™

If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
