About the STEVE MADDEN MELLA
The STEVE MADDEN MELLA is a women's full rim acetate frame with spring hinges. The full rim construction provides complete lens enclosure, while the spring hinges allow the temples to flex outward for added comfort and durability.
This frame comes in one size: 54-17-140, with a lens height of 43 mm. The 54 mm lens width offers a regular fit, and the 17 mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with glasses you already own, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple—these measurements will be similar if your current frames fit well.

Which size is the MELLA?
It comes in one size, 54-17-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 52–56 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the MELLA good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 43 mm. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
