About the SYNQ SY1002XL
The SYNQ SY1002XL is a men's semi-rimless rectangle frame made from metal. The semi-rimless construction reduces visual weight while the rectangular shape provides structured definition. Spring hinges allow the temples to flex outward for improved comfort.
This frame measures 57-20-145 mm (lens width-bridge width-temple length). The 57 mm lens width is wide, offering substantial coverage, and the 20 mm bridge is wide for this lens size, which means it will sit farther from your face than most 57 mm frames. The 145 mm temples are standard length. Compare these measurements to a pair of glasses that fits you well to determine whether this frame will work for you.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the SY1002XL?
It comes in one size, 57-20-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 55–59 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the SY1002XL good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
