About the Urban 140
The Urban 140 is a women's full rim plastic frame with spring hinges. The full rim construction fully encircles the lenses, and the spring hinges allow the temples to flex outward for added comfort and durability.
Available in two sizes: 50-15-130 and 55-18-145 (lens width-bridge width-temple length in millimeters). The lens width of 50mm to 55mm provides a regular fit, while the 15mm bridge is narrow for frames of this lens width, sitting closer on the nose than many glasses you may own. The 130mm temple length is short compared to standard frames.

Which size should I choose, 50 or 55?
Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 49–51 mm take the 50; if it is 54–56 mm take the 55.
Is the 140 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.

If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
