About the New Balance NBK175

The New Balance NBK175 is a full rim round frame designed for kids. Spring hinges provide flexibility and durability for active wear.

This frame comes in one size: 48-21-140 (lens width 48mm, bridge 21mm, temple 140mm). The narrow 48mm lens width suits smaller faces, while the 21mm bridge is wide relative to the lens width, spacing the lenses farther apart than typical frames of this size. To compare with glasses you already own, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size is the NBK175?

It comes in one size, 48-21-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 46–50 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.

Is the NBK175 good for progressive lenses?

Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
