About the Affordable Designs Abigail
The Abigail is a women's cat-eye in lightweight metal, with the upswept corners that lift the face and a slim profile that works as an everyday frame rather than a statement piece. Spring hinges let the temples flex slightly at the ears, so it stays comfortable through a long day and survives being taken on and off.
It comes in one size, 55-17-145 (lens height 43 mm), a medium fit that suits most average faces. The 43 mm lens height gives a comfortable progressive corridor, and the cat-eye shape adds definition to round and oval faces.

What size is the Abigail?
One size: 55 mm lens width, 17 mm bridge, 145 mm temples. If your current glasses show a first number between 53 and 57 on the temple, this size will fit you.
Can I get progressive lenses in the Abigail?
Yes. The 43 mm lens height leaves a full progressive corridor, and single vision and bifocal prescriptions fit easily.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly when you put the glasses on, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
