About the Ray-Ban RB3928V
The RB3928V is Ray-Ban's clean rimless rectangle: a slim metal bridge and temples with the lenses mounted directly, so the frame all but vanishes and the lens shape does the talking. It is the frame to pick when you want Ray-Ban quality without a visible Ray-Ban look. The engraved code on the temple is RB3928V; the same frame is listed by Luxottica and most optical retailers as RX3928V, and both refer to this model.
Two sizes are offered: 52-20-145 (lens height 34 mm) and 54-20-145 (lens height 36 mm). The 20 mm bridge is wide for this lens size and sits well on broader nose bridges. Both lens heights give a usable progressive corridor; choose the 54 if you want the roomiest reading zone.

What is the difference between RB3928V and RX3928V?
Nothing in the frame itself. RB3928V is the code engraved on the temple; RX3928V is Luxottica's catalogue code for the prescription version. We list it as RX3928V so it matches your optician's paperwork, and it is the same frame.
Which size should I choose, 52 or 54?
If your current glasses have a 50–52 mm lens width (the first number on the temple), take the 52. If they are 53–55 mm, take the 54. The bridge is 20 mm in both, so the fit on the nose is the same.
Are rimless frames fragile?
Modern rimless mounts are sturdy in normal use, but the lens edges are exposed, so a thinner, impact-resistant lens material is the right choice. Our lab drills and mounts the lenses to Ray-Ban's specification.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
