About the Ray-Ban RY1598
The Ray-Ban RY1598 is a square-shaped frame made from nylon in a full-rim construction. This unisex frame works for those who prefer square geometry in their eyewear.
Available in two sizes: 47-16-130 with a lens height of 38mm, and 49-16-130 with a lens height of 39mm. The lens width of 47mm to 49mm falls on the narrow side of regular, while the 16mm bridge is average for this lens width. The 130mm temples are short, so compare these measurements to your current glasses to determine fit.

Which size should I choose, 47 or 49?
Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 46–48 mm take the 47; if it is 48–50 mm take the 49.
Is the RY1598 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 38 mm in the 47 and 39 mm in the 49. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.

If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
