About the Affordable Designs CYD

The Affordable Designs CYD is a women's oval metal frame with a full rim design. The spring hinges allow the temples to flex outward for a more forgiving fit.

This frame comes in one size: 56-17-140, with a lens height of 39mm. The 56mm lens width is wide, while the 17mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with glasses you already own, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size is the CYD?

It comes in one size, 56-17-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 54–58 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.

Is the CYD good for progressive lenses?

The lens height is 39 mm. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
