About the Capri US106

The Capri US106, from the 4U line, is a unisex full-rim plastic frame with spring hinges for a comfortable, flexible fit. It is offered in four colors: Black, Blue, Burgundy and Crystal. A Capri Optics case is included.

Two sizes are offered: 48-20-145 (lens height 41 mm) and 51-20-150 (43.4 mm). The 20 mm bridge is on the wider side, so it sits comfortably on broader noses, and the lens heights give a good progressive corridor.

Frequently asked questions

Which size should I choose, 48 or 51?

Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 47–49 mm take the 48; if it is 50–52 mm take the 51, which also has longer 150 mm temples.

Can I get progressive lenses in the US106?

Yes. Lens heights of 41–43 mm are well above the roughly 30 mm that labs ask for.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
