About the Lacoste L2291
The Lacoste L2291 is a men's rectangular metal frame with full rims and spring hinges. The rectangular shape provides structured, angular lines that complement oval, round, and heart-shaped faces.
This frame comes in two sizes: 54-17-140 with a lens height of 40 mm, and 56-17-140 with a lens height of 42 mm. The lens width of 54 mm to 56 mm is wide, while the 17 mm bridge is average for frames of this lens width, and the 140 mm temples are standard length. To compare with glasses you currently own, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm.

Frequently asked questions
Which size should I choose, 54 or 56?
Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 53–55 mm take the 54; if it is 55–57 mm take the 56.
Is the L2291 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 40 mm in the 54 and 42 mm in the 56. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
