About the Bocci Eyewear 452
The Bocci Eyewear 452 is a full rim plastic frame designed for kids, equipped with spring hinges that allow the temples to flex outward for added durability during active wear. The full rim construction provides complete lens support in a sturdy frame.
This frame measures 48-17-135: a 48mm lens width (narrow), a 17mm bridge (average for this lens width), and 135mm temples (short). The narrow lens width means these glasses will suit smaller faces, while the short temples are designed for children's head sizes. To compare with glasses you already own, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the 452?
It comes in one size, 48-17-135. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 46–50 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the 452 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
