About the Lacoste L4005
The Lacoste L4005 is a full-rim rectangular frame made from plastic (BIO INJ-G820) and designed for men. The frame includes spring hinges that allow the temples to flex outward for additional comfort and durability.
This frame comes in one size: 56-16-145, with a lens height of 39mm. The 56mm lens width is wide, while the 16mm bridge is average for a frame of this lens width, and the 145mm temples are standard length. If your current glasses have a lens width smaller than 56mm, these will feel noticeably wider across your face.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the L4005?
It comes in one size, 56-16-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 54–58 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the L4005 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 39 mm. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
