About the New Balance NB520

The New Balance NB520 is a men's square frame with full rims and spring hinges. The square shape works well for those with round or oval faces.

This frame measures 54-15-140: a 54mm lens width (regular fit), 15mm bridge (narrow for this lens width), and 140mm temples (standard length). The narrow bridge means this frame sits closer to the face than most glasses with 54mm lenses, so compare the bridge measurement to your current frames to confirm fit.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size is the NB520?

It comes in one size, 54-15-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 52–56 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.

Is the NB520 good for progressive lenses?

Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
