About the New Balance NB586
The New Balance NB586 is a unisex frame designed to work for both men and women. This frame accommodates a range of face shapes and personal preferences with its neutral styling.
This frame measures 54mm lens width, 17mm bridge width, and 145mm temple length. The 54mm lens width provides a regular fit that works for most wearers, while the 17mm bridge sits at an average width for this lens size. To compare with your current glasses, check the three numbers printed on the inside of your temple arm.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the NB586?
It comes in one size, 54-17-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 52–56 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the NB586 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What colors does the NB586 come in?
It is offered in 3 colors; the product page shows which are available now.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
