About the Ray-Ban RB7550
The RB7550 is a full-rim rectangle in copper titanium: light for a metal frame, with the clean, slightly squared front that makes Ray-Ban's optical line easy to wear every day. The engraved code is RB7550 and the catalogue code is RX7550; both refer to this frame.
It is a wide fit, offered in 55-18-145 (lens height 40 mm) and 57-18-145 (lens height 41 mm). The 18 mm bridge and regular hinges keep it comfortable on medium to wide faces, and the deep lens leaves a full progressive corridor. The rectangular shape adds structure to round and oval faces; on very angular faces it will emphasize the lines rather than soften them.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our Florida lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses. Ray-Ban case included; one-year warranty against manufacturer's defects.
Frequently asked questions
Which size should I choose, 55 or 57?
Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 54–56 mm, take the 55; if it is 56–58 mm, take the 57. The bridge (18 mm) and temple length (145 mm) are the same in both.
Is the RB7550 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. A lens height of 40–41 mm is well above the 30 mm minimum most labs ask for, so distance, intermediate and reading zones all fit comfortably.
What is the difference between RB7550 and RX7550?
Nothing in the frame. RB7550 is the code engraved on the temple and RX7550 is Luxottica's catalogue code for the prescription version. We list it as RX7550 so it matches your optician's paperwork.
