About the Smilen Elite 12
The Smilen Elite 12 is a square-shaped men's frame made from acetate. The full rim construction provides complete lens enclosure in a structured, angular silhouette.
This frame measures 57-18-150 mm (lens width-bridge-temple length), with a lens height of 39 mm. The 57 mm lens width is wide, and the 18 mm bridge is average for this lens width, while the 150 mm temples are long. If your current glasses feel too narrow across the front or the temples don't extend far enough behind your ears, these wider and longer dimensions may provide a better fit.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the 12?
It comes in one size, 57-18-150. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 55–59 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the 12 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 39 mm. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What colors does the 12 come in?
It is offered in 2 colors; the product page shows which are available now.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
