About the Smilen Elite 47
The Smilen Elite 47 is a men's rectangular frame made from stainless steel with a full rim design. It features spring hinges that allow the temples to flex outward for added durability and comfort.
This frame measures 55-21-145: a 55mm lens width (regular fit), 21mm bridge (wide for this lens width), and 145mm temples (standard length). The regular lens width suits most faces, while the wide bridge works well if the glasses you currently wear pinch at the nose. To compare with your existing glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple.

Which size is the 47?
It comes in one size, 55-21-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 53–57 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the 47 good for progressive lenses?

What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
