About the Star ST278
The Star ST278 is a men's plastic frame. The plastic construction provides durability for everyday wear.
This frame measures 54-18-146 mm, with a lens height of 46 mm. The 54 mm lens width offers a regular fit, while the 18 mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with your current glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple arm.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the ST278?
It comes in one size, 54-18-146. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 52–56 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the ST278 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 46 mm. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What colors does the ST278 come in?
It is offered in 3 colors; the product page shows which are available now.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
