About the Airlock CHASSIS
The Airlock CHASSIS is a rimless frame with regular hinges in a unisex design. The rimless construction keeps the focus on the lenses themselves rather than the frame, creating an understated look that works across different face shapes and personal styles.
This frame comes in one size: 1mm lens width, 18mm bridge, and 140mm temples. The 1mm lens width is narrow, suited to smaller faces, while the 18mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with your current glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—these measurements will be smaller in lens width than most standard frames.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the CHASSIS?
It comes in one size, 1-18-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is -1–3 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the CHASSIS good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What colors does the CHASSIS come in?
It is offered in 4 colors; the product page shows which are available now.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
