About the Affordable Designs Salem

The Affordable Designs Salem is a men's square plastic frame with a full rim design. Spring hinges allow the temples to flex outward for added comfort and durability.

This frame comes in one size: 54-19-150, with a lens height of 40mm. The 54mm lens width provides a regular fit, while the 19mm bridge is average for this lens width. The 150mm temples are long—compare these measurements to a pair of glasses that currently fit you well.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size is the Salem?

It comes in one size, 54-19-150. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 52–56 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.

Is the SALEM good for progressive lenses?

The lens height is 40 mm. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
