About the 4U US83

The 4U US83 is a full rim frame with spring hinges. Designed as a unisex style, it works for wearers who prefer this construction.

This frame comes in two sizes: 53-19-145 and 56-19-150. The lens width measures 53mm to 56mm, which is wide, while the 19mm bridge is average for lenses this width. To compare with your current glasses, check the three numbers printed on the inside of the temple.

Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Which size should I choose, 53 or 56?

Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 52–54 mm take the 53; if it is 55–57 mm take the 56.

Is the US83 good for progressive lenses?

Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.

What are spring hinges?

A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
