About the CAT 3011
The CAT 3011 is a semi-rimless rectangle frame designed for men. The rectangular shape provides structured lines, while the semi-rimless construction reduces visual weight along the bottom of the lenses.
This frame measures 56-17-145mm (lens width-bridge width-temple length). The 56mm lens width is wide, offering substantial coverage, and the 17mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with glasses you currently own, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—these measurements will be larger in lens width than typical medium-sized frames.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the 3011?
It comes in one size, 56-17-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 54–58 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the 3011 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What does semi-rimless mean?
A metal rim holds the top of the lens and a fine cord holds the bottom edge, so the frame looks lighter than a full-rim style.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
