About the Lacoste L2978
The Lacoste L2978 is a square-shaped women's frame made from plastic with a full rim design. The square shape works well for those with round or oval face shapes, providing structure and definition.
This frame comes in one size: 55mm lens width, 16mm bridge, and 145mm temples, with a lens height of 48mm. The 55mm lens width provides a regular fit suitable for average face widths, while the 16mm bridge is standard for this lens size. If your current glasses have similar measurements, this frame will fit comparably.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the L2978?
It comes in one size, 55-16-145. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 53–57 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the L2978 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 48 mm. That is deep, so there is plenty of room for progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What colors does the L2978 come in?
It is offered in 4 colors; the product page shows which are available now.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
