About the Ray-Ban RB2242V
The Ray-Ban RB2242V is a full rim oval frame made from propionate. This unisex style works for wearers who prefer an oval shape.
Available in two sizes: 50-22-150 with a 36mm lens height, and 53-22-150 with a 38mm lens height. The 50mm to 53mm lens width provides a regular fit, while the 22mm bridge is wide for frames of this lens width, sitting farther from your face than most glasses in this size range. The 150mm temples are long compared to standard eyewear.

Which size should I choose, 50 or 53?
Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses. If it is 49–51 mm take the 50; if it is 52–54 mm take the 53.
Is the RB2242V good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 36 mm in the 50 and 38 mm in the 53. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What is the difference between RB2242V and RX2242V?
Nothing in the frame. One is the engraved code and the other is Luxottica's catalogue code for the prescription version. We list both so it matches your optician's paperwork.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:

The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
