About the Ray-Ban RB5437
The Ray-Ban RB5437 is a square-shaped frame made from acetate with full rims. This unisex design works well for those who prefer structured, angular frames that provide clear definition to the face.
This frame comes in one size: 53-17-140, with a lens height of 38mm. The 53mm lens width offers a regular fit, while the 17mm bridge is average for this lens width. To compare with your current glasses, check the numbers printed on the inside of the temple—these measurements will show you how this frame differs in width and length.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses. Ray-Ban case included; one-year warranty against manufacturer's defects.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the RB5437?
It comes in one size, 53-17-140. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 51–55 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the RB5437 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 38 mm. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What is the difference between RB5437 and RX5437?
Nothing in the frame. One is the engraved code and the other is Luxottica's catalogue code for the prescription version. We list both so it matches your optician's paperwork.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
