About the Ray-Ban RB5397
The RB5397 is a unisex full-rim frame in acetate with a softly irregular shape, a little rounder than a classic rectangle. It is one of our most colorful Ray-Ban frames, from Black, Transparent and Havana to Pink, Blue and Light Green. The engraved code is RB5397 and the catalogue code is RX5397; both refer to this frame.
Three sizes are offered: 48-19-140 (lens height 40 mm), 50-19-145 (42 mm) and 52-19-145 (43 mm). Having a 48 mm option makes it a good choice for smaller faces. Sixteen colors are currently in stock.

Frequently asked questions
Which size should I choose, 48, 50 or 52?
Check the first number on the temple of your current glasses and take the closest one: 48, 50 or 52. The 48 has shorter 140 mm temples; the 50 and 52 have 145 mm.
Is the RB5397 good for progressive lenses?
Yes. A lens height of 40–43 mm is above the roughly 30 mm that labs ask for, so distance, intermediate and reading zones all fit.
What is the difference between RB5397 and RX5397?
Nothing in the frame. RB5397 is the engraved code and RX5397 is Luxottica's catalogue code for the prescription version. We list it as RX5397 so it matches your optician's paperwork.

If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
