About the Smilen Elite 2
The Smilen Elite 2 is a women's rectangular frame made from acetate with a full rim design. Spring hinges allow the temples to flex outward for added comfort and durability.
This frame comes in one size: 51-15-135, with a lens height of 37mm. The 51mm lens width falls on the narrow side of regular, and the 15mm bridge is narrow for this lens width, which means it will sit closer on your nose than most frames with 51mm lenses. The 135mm temples are short compared to standard length. To check fit, compare these measurements to a pair of glasses that currently fits you well.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the 2?
It comes in one size, 51-15-135. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 49–53 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the 2 good for progressive lenses?
The lens height is 37 mm. That works with progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
