About the Wide Guyz GANGSTER
The Wide Guyz GANGSTER is a men's frame equipped with spring hinges that allow the temples to flex outward for additional comfort and durability. This frame is designed for men who need wider proportions across both the lenses and bridge.
This frame measures 61-20-150: the lens width is 61mm (very wide), the bridge width is 20mm (wide for this lens width), and the temple length is 150mm (long). The very wide lenses and wide bridge make this frame suitable for larger faces, particularly those who find that most glasses feel tight across the front. If your current glasses measure around 58mm or smaller in lens width, these will feel noticeably wider.
Order the frame on its own or add prescription lenses made in our U.S. lab: single vision, OmniLux® NAL® lenses or progressives, and prescription sunglasses with Transitions®, tinted or polarized lenses. Free U.S. shipping on every order with prescription lenses.
Frequently asked questions
Which size is the GANGSTER?
It comes in one size, 61-20-150. If the first number on the temple of your current glasses is 59–63 mm, it will fit you in a similar way.
Is the GANGSTER good for progressive lenses?
Yes. Progressive, OmniLux® NAL® and iLux™ lenses can be made in this frame. If you would like us to confirm the fit for your prescription, contact us before you order.
What are spring hinges?
A small spring in the hinge lets the temple flex outward slightly, which reduces pressure at the sides of your head and helps the frame last.
If you already own a pair of glasses, you'll find numbers engraved on the inside of the eyewear temple. These numbers indicate the following:
LENSWIDTH (A)—
BRIDGEWIDTH (DBL)—
TEMPLELENGTH—
LENSHEIGHT (B)—
The first number is the lens width followed by the bridge width. The third number represents the temple length, or the measurement of the arms of your frame. In some cases there may be a fourth number that indicates the lens height. Measurements in mm.
